formerly bullock’s pasadena, the macy’s on lake avenue is a treasure trove of mid-century architecture. curved staircases, wood paneling, terrazzo floors, and other original details that have quietly survived decades of retail updates. it still feels like a 1940s “store of tomorrow,” just layered into the present.
