Phoebe Bridgers

i've decided to stand by saying that phoebe bridgers is one of the most exciting contemporary artists. at times, i feel ashamed to self-identify with her melancholic pop-alt and the eerily white fanbase that follows, but i love her sound and what she stands for.

to disappear for years, only to come back with a string of announced-day-of, small venue shows in middle american towns with reported alien activity, is pretty rad. then to conclude the ‘tour’ and announce the album during a one-dollar msg show where all proceeds were donated to the immigration bond freedom fund. just to build a laser show to correspond with the album and host early release listening parties in planetariums across the country. and to have all of the aforementioned be no-phone/yondr ponch. seeing msg completely full with not a phone in sight was a surreal experience.

god, she’s so cool! i can’t wait for the new album. geek out over.
